"Fell On Black Days" is the final single from Superunknown, and was released in a large number of different versions, each with different b-sides. (BMI) "Girl U Want" was originally recorded by Devo and released in 1980. Devo and Soundgarden both played at five Lollapalooza shows in the summer of 1996. Fell On Black Days (Demo) Music & Lyrics: Cornell As the title implies, an early working version of the song that didn't make the final cut. The lyrics are different than the Superunknown version. EUROPEAN CD #1 Fell On Black Days Motorcycle Loop (Short Version) Music: Thayil In a move that foreshadows the band's later "noise" b-sides (like "A Splice of Space Jam" and "Jerry Garcia's Finger"), this is nothing more than Kim Thayil making his guitar sound like a revving motorcycle engine. Girl U Want Fell On Black Days (Demo) EUROPEAN CD #2 Fell On Black Days Kyle Petty, Son Of Richard Birth Ritual Written by Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron, and Kim Thayil, this is a favorite "rare" Soundgarden track, having also appeared on the Singles soundtrack. The demo version of the song has appeared several times as a b-side, on the "Black Hole Sun" and "My Wave" singles in 1994 and the "Burden In My Hand" single in 1996 (misprinted on the Australian version of the CD as "Birth Control").
